Everything in the box.

Revel is deliberately small — a camera, a waiting period, and a shared roll at the end. Here's how each part works, starting with getting everyone in.

Friends join in seconds. No install needed.

Share a QR code. They scan it, our App Clip loads instantly, and they're shooting with the group — no App Store trip required. If they want the full app later, their photos and trips come with them.

What's an App Clip?

Nobody sees anything until morning.

Photos upload straight to the shared roll and stay hidden while they develop. Not hidden-ish — the server won't serve a photo to anyone, including the person who took it, until it reveals.

  • 8am, every morning

The previous day's photos drop into the gallery together.

  • No peeking, ever

Not even the organizer — there's no early-access switch, no code path for one.

  • Resets overnight

A fresh set of shots every day of the trip.

  • A daily mission

Every morning brings a playful photo challenge — a different one for each person, just enough nudge to shoot.

Grade it after it develops.

Once a photo reveals, anyone on the trip can put it through a film preset — real tone curves and colour grading, the same maths our pipeline runs. Upload a photo below to see it for yourself.

A trip photo, shown unfiltered on the left of the handle and filtered on the right. Original Cheerful Sunset/Sunrise

See it on your own photo

A sunset or golden-hour shot works best — the filters need light to grade.

Stays on your device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Drag the handle — or focus it and use the arrow keys.

  • After the fact

Filters live in the gallery, not the viewfinder — you grade a photo you've already seen develop.

  • Anyone can change one

    The roll's a shared scrapbook, not per-photo property — re-grade a friend's shot, they can re-grade yours.

  • Nothing is destroyed

A filter's a label on the photo, not a new file — switch as many times as you like.

  • Real grading

A tone curve, per-channel curves and an eight-band colour mix, applied at full resolution.

Shown here: the Cheerful pack, live today. A second pack, Retro, is finished and waiting on the next app release — it adds grain, vignetting and split-toning, which is why it isn't in this preview.

Six ways to wear it.

Sunbeam is the house look — a warm cream ground that stays out of the way of your photographs. Prefer something cooler? Pick a colour family and a light or dark mode in Account Centre, and the whole app follows. It's a personal setting: everyone on the trip can pick their own without changing what anyone else sees.

Sunbeam Light Default

Brick, mustard, navy and coral on warm cream.

Sunbeam Dark

The same warmth, moved off the ground and into the accents.

Green Light

Sea-glass teal on pressed sage linen.

Green Dark

Deep forest felt, one teal accent throughout.

Blue Light

A pool-water gradient that fades to daylight.

Blue Dark

Dusk over deep water, with a soft slate accent.

Be first in line.
